Our Story

Best Umbrella Australia was born in late 2024 out of frustration. After purchasing yet another cheap umbrella that flipped inside out during a Melbourne storm, our founder James decided enough was enough. There had to be a better way to find quality umbrellas without falling for marketing gimmicks or paying premium prices for mediocre products.

What started as a personal quest to find the perfect windproof umbrella quickly evolved into something larger. James discovered that thousands of Australians were asking the same questions: What makes an umbrella truly windproof? Is UV protection actually effective? Are expensive umbrellas worth the investment? The information available online was either too basic or clearly biased towards specific brands.

We set out to change that. Today, Best Umbrella Australia is a small but passionate team that purchases, tests, and reviews umbrellas against real Australian conditions.
